Sushi and Racism

We went to spread the joy of Sushi at a historic mansion that is rumored to be haunted. The place is called Shiro, it's a hidden gem. Here we are trying to get Cat to try a California Roll. She actually did try it but it was a difficult sell. We still managed to have a lovely evening trying other delicacies.  The sophisticated bar is tucked discreetly in the rear corner and it was staffed by an elegant bartender.

The single (but large and beautiful) bathroom is along the back of the house adjacent to the bare area. While waiting for the bathroom to open up, my son overheard an appalling conversation by the bar. The Asian female bartender was sharing her plans to take her family to China for a vacation. One of the men at the bar abruptly asked, "Have you ever been to Thailand?" The bartender replied emphatically, "NO." Then the bastard said, " not even in your sex slave days, ha ha ha?"

What do you say to that kind of an idiot? Here we are getting superior service in a very nice restaurant, in an area where many people of various Asian cultures live....and this arrogant ass thinks he's funny?
